The Maker of the Stars and Sea

Stained glass window from St. Simon's Episcopal Church, Conyers, Georgia.  USA

And is it true?  And is it true?
The most tremendous tale of all,
Seen in a stained glass window's hue,
A Baby in an ox's stall?
The maker of the stars and sea
Became a child on earth for me?

  2. Hello kj,
This is just a stanza of the poem. If you look up "Christmas Poem" and "John Betjeman" you should be able to find it.
May you have the happiest of holidays!

  4. Nan,
Yes! St Simon's is my church! My favorite window is the one with Jesus raising Lazarus from the dead...look for it in one of my future posts!
Hope you have a lovely Christmas!
Oh, and I will make your butter cake recipe for my hubby for Christmas! (Just gluten free, of course!)
    Love,
    Kay
